Interview with Dave Mayer from Technical Integrity

Tell us about your background:
I'm a serial entrepreneur with a deep love for community building based on the givefirst ethos. I have a deep appreciation for entrepreneurs and the journey we all experience. I am passionate about mental health in the entrepreneurial realm as I believe that the happiest healthiest entrepreneurs are the most focused, productive and ultimately the most profitable. I am the founder of a boutique placement firm called Technical Integrity. We have been leading an ethical revolution in recruiting, bolstered by our givefirst approach to bringing people together in the startup realm, with no expectation of anything in return. We love what we do. It has been a winning approach.

What was your 1st entrepreneurial endeavor?
I founded a small event management firm in DC focused on providing entertainment for large scale corporate events.

how has your personal brand helped your success?
Love the question. My father was an Air Force Captain in the Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. He told me very early on that you actually only own one thing in your life, and that is your integrity. I pondered on this for years- and embraced it once I thought I understood it. Many years later I created TI in 2010. The org definitely reflects my values of creating societal change through tech. The givefirst ethos is as much a part of me as it is of the org. I didn't have a personal brand when I founded TI, but I am very much known as the face of TI and presuming your question surrounds our online personas..no, I was a nobody at first : )

What's the most exciting thing that happened this month?
We placed a very high level and well respected CTO with a mission driven org that we believe will change the world. We love working with B-corps and the like and we are particularly excited about this placement
